Summary of Brighton Rock
Young Pinkie Brown is the head of a criminal gang in Brighton in the 1930s. He orders the killing of reporter Fred Hale. Although the police believe Hale died from natural causes, Ida Arnold, a woman who met him shortly before his death, is determined to uncover the truth. Meanwhile, Pinkie does everything he can to conceal his crimes, including luring the young and innocent Rose, a witness, into a romantic relationship to prevent her from testifying against him.
