The novel provides an insightful look into the drug scene in Denmark during the nineties. “Nordkraft” won the Golden Laurel award (De Gyldne Laurbær) in 2003 and was a bestseller upon its publication in Denmark. The book was adapted into a film in 2005 by Ole Christian Madsen (titled “Nordkraft” but also known as “Angels in Fast Motion”).
