Rombo” tells the story of the 1976 Friuli earthquake that claimed the lives of approximately a thousand people and ravaged the villages and landscape of Friuli in North-Eastern Italy. Esther Kinsky is a German author. She was awarded with several literary awards, including the Kranichsteiner Literature Prize from the German Literature Fund in 2015. “Rombo” was longlisted for the 2022 German Book Prize (‘Deutscher Buchpreis’).
