Summary of The Flanders Panel

 

Julia, an art restorer in Madrid, discovers a hidden inscription on a 15th-century Flemish painting called “The Game of Chess”. The inscription reads “Who killed the knight?”. With the help of her friends, Julia tries to unravel the old murder mystery by analysing the details of the painting and by playing the depicted chess game backwards. To her shock, she soon finds herself in danger as someone starts to play a real-life chess game with her and her friends as the pieces.
