It is an adventurous tale of the Danish as a seafaring people, with men exploring the seas and women shaping their own lives while staying at home. Carsten Jensen is a much-loved Danish author who has won several literary awards, including the Danish booksellers’ award Golden Laurel (De Gyldne Laurbær) for his novel “I Have Seen the World Begin”, the Søren Gyldendal Prize, and the Olof Palme Prize.
