Summary of Zorba the Greek
“Zorba the Greek” tells the story of a young Greek man who seeks to escape his bookish life for a more adventurous existence, with the help of the mysterious Alexis Zorba. Zorba, a charismatic working-class hero, introduces his young friend to experiences that go beyond what books could offer. Together, they leave the port of Piraeus for Crete to start a brown-coal mining enterprise.
